WAGON TRAIN

A Wild West Game For 2, 3, or 4 Players

Each player is a pioneer who guides his Wagon thru the prairies to Fort Laramie. As he rides along he has to "shoot" his way past many obstales such as Coyotes, Indians, Buffalo Herds, etc.

THE OBJECT OF THE GAME is to be the first pioneer to safely reach the fort.

TO BEGIN THE GAME:
  1. Unfold the game board and place it on a flat surface
  2. Each pioneer selects a colored playing piece
  3. High spin on the dial plays first
PLAYING THE GAME:
  1. Each pioneer, in turn, rides along the trail, from START, the number of spaces spun on the dial.
  2. He must STOP and SHOOT each Obstacles when he reaches a space with a GUN in it, even if that spin would have taken him beyond it.
  3. Before he shoots, he must stand the Obstacles on its matching picture (the Coyote on the Coyote, the Bandit on the Bandit, etc.) facing the Yellow Circle in the lower left hand corner of the playing board.
  4. Any Pioneer in "line of fire" must be moved away until after the shooting.
  5. HOW TO SHOOT:

    1. The red plastic disks are the Bullets and are ALWAYS shot from the Yellow Circle.
    2. To shoot, place the end of the gun barrel in the center of the Bullet, aim at the Obstacle, and with a little pressure, slide the gun back.
    3. When it snaps off the edge, the Bullet will fly forward (like a Tiddledy Wink).

  6. It must hit the Obstacle hard enough to move it, or knock it over, before the Pioneer can continue riding along the trail.
  7. A Pioneer takes ONE shot when he FIRST stop on a GUN space.
  8. If he misses... for his next and following turns he may take as many "shots" as he spins on the dial until he is successful.
  9. After hitting the Obstacle, he continues along the trail on his next turn.
  10. When a pioneer has safely passed all six danger spaces, he goes to the Fort which he MUST reach by an exact spin.

TO WIN:

The first Pioneer to safely reach Fort Laramie, WINS THE GAME.
